Side Brackets for Scaffolding - Southwest Scaffolding
Side Brackets for Scaffolding Frames
Side brackets are used to allow a mason or other trade to work right up against the wall of a building, they allow for free walking access along the length of the wall and allow the worker to have access to building materials behind them at waist height. These side brackets attach to the sides of scaffolding frames and are planked to provide an additional working platform, enlarge an existing working platform or to get closer to the wall.
Side brackets can also be used to increase the size of the main work platform. These are different than our outriggers, which are used to enlarge the base of a scaffolding platform, allowing it to be built higher without having to tie off to the wall.
SWS- 201 21" Tube Side Brackets
This is our most popular side bracket - it provides a 21" standing platform for the workers. This bracket will hold two scaffold boards (2 X 10) or one 19" wide aluminum board.
SWS-206C 20" Angle Iron End Brackets
End brackets are attached to the ends of a scaffolding platform to create a working platform that is perpendicular (90 degrees) to the platform created by the frames and side brackets. They are normally used to turn a corner with the scaffolding. This bracket will hold two scaffold boards (2 X 10) or one 19" wide aluminum board.
SWS-203B 21" Saddle Tube Side Brackets
This side bracket is very similar to our SWS-201 except that it has a saddle on the end, which provides additional strength and stability. This bracket will hold two scaffold boards (2 X 10) or one 19" wide aluminum board.
SWS-213 23" Angle Iron Saddle Side Brackets
A flat angle-iron side bracket that provides a 23" working platform. While most of our side bracket are made from tubular steel, this one is made from L-shaped flat steel. Some contractors prefer these because they tend to be more durable when dropped or hit. This bracket will hold two scaffold boards (2 X 10) or one 19" wide aluminum board.
SWS-217 12" Tube Side Brackets
A 12" side bracket to provide a work platform on the scaffolding. This is the smallest side bracket we carry. It is often used by contractors working in tight spaces or where when a contractor wants to use fewer boards to deck a platform. This bracket will hold one scaffold boards (2 X 10).
SWS-218 30" Tube Side Brackets
This 30" side bracket allows for a longer reach and an extra plank to the working platform of the scaffolding. This bracket will hold three scaffold boards (2 X 10) or two 19" wide aluminum boards.
SWS-221 20"-30" Adjustable Saddle Bracket
Heavy duty and versatile adjustable side bracket with saddle. The bracket can be adjusted between 20" and 30" depending on the needs of the project. Extending to 30" will allow for the placement of an additional walkboard. The saddle adds stability. This bracket will hold 1-2 scaffold boards (2 X 10) or 2-3 19" wide aluminum boards.
