Ladder Scaffolding for Sale at Southwest Scaffolding
Ladder scaffolding has ladder rungs built into the frame. Our ladder frames come in many different shapes and sizes with each kind designed for different types of scaffolding work. The purpose of the ladder rungs is two-fold. First, they provide elevation options for a work or material platform on the scaffolding. Second, if the rungs are 18″ apart or less, OSHA will allow you to use them as a ladder to access the scaffolding platform.
Ladder scaffolding is not to be confused with an external scaffolding ladder, which bolts on to the outside of your scaffolding platform and offers a safe and efficient way to access the platform. These are particularly useful for accessing a platform made from walk-thru frames that don’t have a ladder built in.
Types of Ladder Scaffolding Frames
Walk-Thru/Ladder Scaffolding Combo Frame – 5’x6’4″

This is a Safeway Scaffolding Style Match Frame that allows you to walk through the frame and create a long working platform but also allows you to climb the frame to access the platform and use the rungs to create a waist-high work platform for your materials and tools. At 5′ wide this frame provided a sturdy scaffolding platform that can be stacked high, give you plenty of room to work and is very versatile. The downside to this ladder scaffolding frame is that it is the heaviest of all the frames we carry and also more expensive than many other frames sold here.
Uses: masonry, stucco, long platforms, wide platforms, multiple platforms.
Triple Ladder Scaffolding Frame 5’x6’4″

This is our most popular ladder frame. It is called a triple ladder because there are three rungs between the top and bottom frame bars. These rungs are close enough together that they can be used as a ladder to access the scaffolding platform. The rungs are on one side of the scaffolding frame, with an access opening on the other side. This frame offers the stability and large platform size that comes with a 5′ wide frame. This frame is commonly used to make scaffolding towers and as end frames on a long masonry platform so they can double as a ladder for access. The 6’4″ height means that you have have multiple working platforms stacked on top of each other with plenty of heigh for the crew to work on the lower platform.
Uses: masonry and stucco (as end pieces), drywall, painting scaffold towers, multi-level platforms, wide platforms.
Double Box Ladder Scaffolding Frame 5’X6’4″
This ladder frame is very similar to our triple ladder above except it has ladder rungs on both sides of the frame instead of having an access opening on one side. This frame provides you with the maximum ability to create custom configurations with your scaffold and work platform because you have 8 different places to put scaffold planks. The only downside to this frame is that you have to climb over the top or around it to access your scaffold platform.
Uses: painting, drywall, carpentry, scaffold towers, multi-level platforms, wide platforms.
