We sell and rent FRACO mast climbing platforms. Our FRACO-20K mast climbers are perfect for Masonry applications. They hold up to 20,000 pounds of weight when two towers are used in tandem. A single tower can hold up to 10,000 pounds. Can be used with either one or two towers and allow quick and convenient raising and lowering of the platform.
Mast climbers can greatly increase efficiency and safety on a project. With frame scaffolding, you are constantly building additional levels, breaking down lower working platforms and building higher working platforms as you go up a building, you are also required by OSHA to plank multiple levels at one time. Crank-Up scaffolding must be operated by hand, meaning the climb and descent rate is very slow. While crank up scaffolding can go very high, it works better on long walls than tall walls. Our FRACO 20K mast climbers are perfect for vertical applications because they can climb and descend fully loaded at a rate of 7 feet per minute. With this kind of speed, you can lower the platform all the way to the ground at the end of each day on most projects. With a mast climber, you only assemble the working platform once and there are up to 130 possible configurations. The working platform can be extended out to 127 feet. Toe boards, guard rails and gates also stay in place as the platform goes up and down the mast. The platform is 5’ 9” wide and contains an additional pull out working platform that will extend out to 5’ 3” so that masons can work up against the wall. This pull out can either be several feet lower than the hight of the main platform, so that masons will have their materials at waste height, or it can raised to the same elevation as the main platform, providing an additional spacious platform. With mast climbers, the platform elevation can be adjusted vertically as the wall is being built so that the masons are always laying brick at the optimal waist height. Being able to work at this level keeps the masons at maximum production, keeps the masons fresh and it ensures maximum quality.
